Go on a Hike
Get breath of fresh mountain air! Whether it’s a short or long hike, nearby or out in the wilderness, going for a hike is a great way to get away together and spend quality time outdoors.
On the casual end, this can be as simple as getting out to your closest local park and going for a long walk. Or on the fancy end, you can break out the trail maps or even make it an overnight backpacking trip.
If you don’t know what the local hiking trails are, AllTrails is a great app with reviews and detailed maps of each trail, where the trailheads are, what difficulty level to expect, and tons more.
Make sure to bring good shoes, water, snack, and a first aid kit. Wear appropriate clothing. And, pick a trail that isn’t going to leave you exhausted!
To make it an extra special time, think about making it a picnic. Or, you could bring some hiking songs to learn. Or, you can find some geocaching points to search out along the way.
All-in-all, this is a super flexible, but fun date idea that you can make your own.
